Latest entry to the Barro game series
Barro 2024 is a premium racing game for PC from developer SC Jogos and is the latest entry to the popular indie race simulation series, Barro. This latest entry is taking direct inspiration from the original release to offer a familiar yet improved take on the established gameplay formula.
Back to roots
The first Barro game was an indie darling that had its fair share of fans. It combined charming visuals with simple yet fun racing gameplay. In comes Barro 2024, the newest that goes back to the series' roots and what made the original so liked, with improved driving mechanics and slight updates to the graphics.
This new game comes with single-player and local split-screen multiplayer up to four players. There are 12 race tracks and four unique vehicles to choose from. There's also the improved time trial mode with lap-by-lap leaderboards as you fight for race position in real time. All said, though, the core gameplay has been left unchanged, which some players hoping for something new will not be too enthused by.
Refined but same
For long-time fans of the original, the new Barro 2024 is a welcome addition to the series with slightly nicer graphics and improved driving mechanics. On the other hand, the gameplay has stayed mostly the same, so it won't be the change that some are expecting. Nevertheless, it offers a refined experience that will be enough for the rest.
